Full Job Description

She is an adrenaline junkie on wheels and is always looking for her next adventure, she is part of many projects providing accessibility around Plymouth and Cornwall and loves attending festivals and is always off doing quirky activities as she is a assistant practitioner for the theatre royal. However like all of us we can have are not so good days where she may not be physically her best so support is needed when her condition can change and requires more support than she does on other days. She has a rehabilitation program in place so it is very important staff can support her with any physiotherapy exercises including hydrotherapy and can work closely with professional care plans from the NHS.,

  • Light manual handling

  • Light personal care

  • Administration of medication (blister pack)

  • Light meal preparation

  • Light domesic tasks

  • Assisting with social activities

  • Assisting with physiotherapy care plans and hydrotherapy

  • Potential of supporting the client away on trips

    We are looking to expand within our small team to find a passionate and empathetic individual to work as a waking night support worker between the hours of 7pm-8am. Due to the nature of this role we are only accepting female candidates due to the clients needs., You should be able to think on your feet and use your own initiative within this role. Due to the opening there is flexibility around picking the days you work. However all contracted staff are required to work one 13hr shift every other weekend. This is to ensure weekends are shared evenly within the team., Good communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Must be confident in working 1:1 (lone working)

  • 2 years of care experience

  • Candidates must have at least 2 years care experience a NVQ 2 & 3 or a nursing associate qualification

  • A understanding of neurological conditions

  • Driving license is essential as the client has her own wheelchair accessible vehicle

  • Enhanced rates of pay for bank holidays and public holidays

  • Rota given in advance of up to 3 months

  • All weekends are shared
