Full Job Description

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join the team, working in the kitchen for 3.5 hours a day, 17.5 hours a week (11am - 2.30pm), term time only. The role is to assist in the kitchen in the preparation of food, serving meals, washing up and to help the cook.

This is an opportunity to join our passionate, enthusiastic and outstanding team! We are seeking a motivated, skilled and resilient person who has experience of supporting young people with SEND including those on the autistic spectrum. They will have a flexible approach, exemplary communication skills and be able to meet the challenging needs of our young people.

Beaucroft Foundation School is expanding to accommodate more pupils throughout the school and at our new College, a brand new Post 16 facility based in School Lane, Wimborne, which opened in June 2023. These are exciting times for everyone involved with the school.

  • Beaucroft is a Foundation Special School that caters for children and young people between the ages of four and nineteen who are experiencing learning difficulties, including complex needs, and those with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder.     The salary will be based on Dorset Job Evaluation XS2.2 Kitchen Assistant. The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position, at the time of advert, based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.
