Full Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented and proven Investigation Professional to join our specialist practice. The role is based in the South and will predominantly involve London and surrounding areas, but further afield as business needs dictate. This is a home-based role.

Reporting to the Head of Investigation you will be responsible for handling a broad portfolio of claims across all lines of McLarens business streams, and cradle-to-grave management of a caseload of investigation, ensuring company standards are met in relation to all technical and operational policies and procedures, including data protection and information security.

The role:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Investigating claims in a professional manner

  • Liaising with insured, insurers and brokers to achieve professional and timely progression of investigations.

  • Conducting interviews of relevant parties and statement gathering

  • Completing on site investigations, witness enquiries and liaising with relevant authorities

  • Producing reports in compliance with professional standards and internal guidelines in accordance with agreed timescales

  • Managing case referral/review, and various elements of investigation to support our Adjusting practices.

  • Actively contribute towards McLarens' business development programme

  • Network, identify and facilitate opportunities for business growth.

  • Undertaking projects and other ad hoc work as required

    Successful candidates must hold or ideally be working towards professional qualifications and have gained experience in the investigation sector, or in allied professions, demonstrating a focus on quality, communication and organisational skills. They will have proven capability in negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving, coupled with strong stakeholder management. An ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally is imperative. A proven, positive reputation in the Insurer market would be advantageous.
