Full Job Description

The Regeneration team is responsible for the development and delivery of a range of high interest and strategic projects, centred around the regeneration function of the Council.

Under the guidance of the Regeneration Manager, you will design, develop, and manage the whole High Street/ Town Centre regeneration programme and work with our stakeholders and communities to continue to transform and support our high streets and town centres.

This is for a one year limited term contract.

We are also offering this as an internal secondment opportunity, you should first seek your line managers permission before applying.
This post is restricted to permanent and temporary employees of South Gloucestershire Council only.

What will you be doing?

  • It will be your responsibility to manage High Street Project Managers to help deliver a range of High Street projects, including multi-discipline project delivery teams from within the Council and other partner organisations.

  • Daily you will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders including West of England Combined Authority and will be required to represent the Council in internal and external presentations, public engagement activity and promotional events.

  • In this role, you will have responsibility to manage Finance and Audit responsibilities of delivering the High Street program and report to grant funders.

  • It will be key for your to actively seek funding opportunities to help deliver the High Street programme.

    You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience of working in a project management role, including significant managing of large complex projects.

  • We require you to hold the APM's 'Project Management' (APMP, Level D) qualification or equivalent with the capability to use and apply the methodologies both accurately and effectively.

  • It is essential that you have experience of managing and developing staff either in a project or line management capacity.

  • You will be able to provide sound expertise, advice, and information to a range of customers e.g. Councillors and Senior Management throughout the Council.
