Full Job Description

The aim of the HR Advisor post is to provide day to day guidance on employment relations matters and to work on specialist projects like investigations, sickness absence and performance management.

Main Responsibilities of the HR Advisor

  • First point of contact for day to day HR enquiries

  • Provide support and guidance to managers on day to day employment relations matters.

  • Undertake investigations as required and prepare investigation reports to submit for disciplinary/capability hearings

  • Maintain oversight of sickness levels across the company and support line manager to follow the sickness absence policy

  • Support line manager with the performance management process

  • Assisting with updating and reviewing policies and procedures

  • Maintain digital copies of employees' records (eg induction record, probations, up to date right to work)

  • Compile quarterly HR reports

  • Ad hoc duties as required

    HR Advisor experience would be beneficial

  • Experience leading disciplinary investigations and hearings

  • Experience with providing guidance around sickness/absence and performance management

  • Valid UK driving license

  • Strong computer literacy

  • Desirable: CIPD minimum level 5 qualification
