Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Group's accounting records and financial systems including responsibility for all journals and final General Ledger balances including review of month end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts

Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management

Provision of high quality information to the Board which provides a balanced assessment of performance vs objectives and identifies opportunities for strategic improvement

Production of statutory accounts for the Group and its various subsidiary companies as and when required in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and legislation

Responsible for the payroll function and ensuring a robust framework and process for the timely payment of c.1,400 employees across five different payrolls.

Management of sales ledger/credit control function, navigating complex recovery matters such as power of attorney, deputyships and probate

Management of finance systems, including the identification and mitigation of potential systems risk and development of a finance systems roadmap

You'll have a relevant accounting qualification together with a significant amount of experience in a similar role. Strong interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude. You'll be a strategic thinker with good commercial and financial acumen and first-class communication skills. An analytical thinker who can project management and deliver positive results.
