Full Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Hard FM Operations Manager to join our Facilities Management team at West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Key activities:

  • Reporting to the Contract Manager

  • To facilitate Hard FM activities undertaking the functional, technical and management aspects of the FM contract with respect to planned/ reactive maintenance, minor project work and the Forward Capital Maintenance Programme requirements.

  • To be responsible for all operational staff, budgets and performance of sub-contractors within this work stream.

  • To maintain a close liaison with the Client FM Function to ensure day to day requirements of delivering the FM contract are met.

  • To be responsible for contractual performance in accordance with agreed budgets and compliance with the Service Level Standards whilst continually enforcing cost efficiencies and maximising value received.

    Will hold a relevant qualification in a Hard FM related subject, ideally with membership of a professional institution and/or management qualifications (ILM, BIFM, etc.)

  • Must have experience of managing staff in Hard FM in a healthcare environment

  • Will have specialist knowledge of processes and procedures within mechanical and electrical disciplines together with excellent IT skills

  • Will be able to demonstrate sound financial acumen and be able to interpret financial accounts

  • Able to demonstrate strong communication and client relationship skills

  • Excellent attention to detail
