Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance department of St Michael's Hospice, for a Finance Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for the financial administration of all Hospice income.

The role involves the accurate recording of all income transactions, from various sources, into the accounting system. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate retail gift aid records, preparing claims for submission to HMRC and managing the year end gift aid procedures in accordance with HMRC guidelines.

You will be working as part of a friendly team within the Finance department, reporting directly to the Management Accountant.

The successful candidate will need to be a good team player with excellent attention to detail, accuracy and numeracy skills. You will also need good communication and time management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Experience working within a Finance team would be desirable.
