Full Job Description

As an Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic systems and components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of projects.

The Role

  • Design and develop electronic circuits and systems for various applications

  • Create schematics and PCB layouts using AutoCAD or similar software

  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electronic systems to ensure functionality and performance

  • Collaborate with firmware engineers to integrate hardware and software components

  • Utilise simulation tools for system analysis and optimisation

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in electronics engineering and apply them to improve product designs

  • Liaise with product and project engineers to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner


  • The Person

    Raytec are looking for applicants that are excited to be part of a team bring new LED lighting systems to the market. We supply into hazardous areas as well as offering security lighting and are looking to develop new products in these areas.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices

  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD for schematic design and PCB layout

  • Experience with surface mount technology (SMT) assembly processes

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, Perl, or Python

  • Knowledge of firmware development for microcontrollers, SoC, or logic controllers

  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and schematics
