Driver / Bearer

This is an active role, where no two days are the same. Offering a wide range of practical funeral related tasks that will involve heavy lifting, the role will also include chauffeuring our funeral cars and therefore a smart appearance and a full, clean driving licence is essential.

You will:

• Support ceremonial aspects of funerals.


• Work with nursing homes, hospitals and other facilities to bring individuals into our care.


• Prepare and trim coffins.


• Maintain funeral vehicles and ambulance fleets to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.


• Work in the mortuary environment in the care, preparation and presentation of those in our care. (This will be introduced to you gradually and under supervision.)
