Full Job Description

To manage and accurately maintain the school's Management Information System (SIMS) and other assessment management packages (SISRA, FFT, etc)
Management Information System (SIMS)

· To maintain the school management system (SIMs)

· To provide support and training for all staff in the use of the system

· To administer the student report process within SIMS

· Maintain course manager to ensure accurate.

· Responsible for the maintenance of accurate lists of teaching groups and sets - responding swiftly to requests for changes.

· Supporting the administrative with student transfer process (joiners/leavers).

· Uploading prior attainment data and other external data (CATs, reading ages etc) and providing guidance for staff on how to interpret/use this data.

· Preparation and printing of student timetables and learner profiles for staff

· Provide student data requested by staff and external agencies.

Assessment management

· Ensure accurate transfer of report and exams data from SIMs to SISRA

· Ensure data accuracy between SIMS and FFT and promote use of FFT analysis.

· To train staff on the use of SISRA & FFT as required.

· Provide support & training for other systems using student data.

Data Analysis & Target Setting

· To support target setting through the creation of templates and marksheets.

· To provide reports for use by Year Teams, Subject Leaders and SLT to monitor student progress, identify key areas of concern and evidence the impact of whole school priorities.

· To provide data when required for the SEF, SIP, school website and school prospectus.

· To provide analysis of Assessment and Examination results

Statutory Returns

· To support the termly statutory census returns process.

· To undertake the Department of Education checking exercise in June and September

· To keep abreast of changes in statutory requirements

Exams

· To work with the exams officer to ensure accuracy of the data (course changes, students changing courses etc)

· Support with administrative tasks for exam periods (seating plans, candidate cards, room bookings, paper collection, cover sheets, access arrangement documents, preparation exam boxes, unpack, log and store exam papers, book exam paper collection, setting up exam rooms)

· During exam periods supporting with invigilation, printing work, exam set up, exam paper checking, exam attendance monitoring, respond to individual requests for exam room support, checking and packing exam papers.

· Post exam supporting with preparation envelopes and information for result days, certificate collation and recording receipt, certificate evenings.
