Clinical Research Specialist Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Swansea Bay UHB for a Band 6 Research Nurse/Officer to become part of the Research Delivery Team . The post holders will be required to work across all hospital sites within health board., The post holders will contribute to the assessment and management of the care pathways for patients participating in clinical trials. This will include the recruitment, education, monitoring of trial patients, the collection and documentation of accurate data and collection and preparation of biological samples.We are ideally seeking someone with an interest in clinical research with good verbal and written communication and attention to detail.We are seeking two enthusiastic and well organised individuals to work within the Research Delivery Team at Swansea Bay UHB.

The post holders will be required to support the co-ordination of an agreed portfolio of research studies across Swansea Bay UHB.

The successful candidate will:

- Identify and recruit patients for research studies- Provide information and support for those involved in research studies- Maintain research databases in accordance with the relevant research protocols- Produce high quality data collection- Conduct follow-up visits according to study protocols- Applicants would be expected to work across all sites within SBUHB, We are seeking a capable, enthusiastic and well organised individual to work within the Research and Development Department within SBUHB.The post holder will be required to support the co-ordination of an agreed portfolio of research studies across SBUHB health board. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
