Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our well established trauma orthopaedics team as a clinical practitioner coordinator.

The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of the trauma lists for patients under the speciality of Trauma and Orthopaedics.

They will be dealing with all the communication relating to surgery and the patient journey, including giving advice while waiting at home.

They will undertake a comprehensive patient history and perform basic clinical examination and investigations to complete clerking.

They will be required to contact patients facilitating admissions to have surgery if appropriate

The post holder will be expected to enhance service development, conducting relevant research, audit and QiP to ensure that outcomes are appropriately acted upon and disseminated both locally and nationally., Clinical assessment of patients

Co-ordinate the pre and peri-operative care of trauma patients to achieve a seamless pathway for patients

Support higher level communication between self other professionals, patients and carer's

Mentor others, multi-professional input

Deliver education to multi-professional audience around specialty

Be a part of and undertake audit and QiP

Seek out opportunities to support own learning needs

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
