Join us at Kier Transportation, where we are working brilliantly together to make a difference, supporting the movement of people, goods, and equipment., As a CAD Technician you will be working in the Bridges team for Kier Design Solution (KDS), supporting the CAD Manager. You will be responsible for producing CAD deliverables including drawings, bar bending schedules and drawing registers for bridge structures projects on time, within budget and to the agreed standards.

Your day to day will include:

  • Prepare technical design drawings, bar bending schedules, drawing registers and other CAD deliverables in accordance with Kier Highways CAD Manual.

  • Competently use specialist CAD software, particularly AutoCAD.

  • Agree delivery targets with Senior staff/CAD Manager and report regularly on progress towards milestones.

  • Assist with the delivery of small projects or a small programme of work with minimal supervision.

  • Work in accordance with Kier Highways' systems and procedures, including those relating to SHEQ, project and risk management.

    Demonstrable experience and competency in AutoCAD.

  • Experience in other CAD packages such as CADS RC and Revit.

  • Knowledge in design of highway improvement or maintenance schemes to UK standards.
