Full Job Description

Working as part of a small procurement team, this role will have responsibility for day-to-day tactical procurement activities.

Provide procurement support across the Alpha 3 group ensuring procurement services meet customer expectations and priorities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

This role will be responsible for executing MRP and drive procurement activities to improve quality, delivery, and cost. You will be assuring timely PO placement, expediting urgent requirements, maintaining procurement data and invoice clearances.

  • Purchasing responsibility for selected suppliers, MRP execution This will be aligned and supporting the supply chain management, customer service and logistics teams.

  • Developing in-depth knowledge of suppliers and industry forces.

  • Focusing on relationship management, while improving the sourcing systems and procurement processes used to ensure future success.

  • Responsibility for the management and execution of purchasing activities for assigned components within the product portfolio:

  • Cables, wires, connectors, packaging, castings, machining, and fabrications, rubber and plastics, fasteners and connecting materials.

  • Resolving supply shortage constraints and supplier difficulties encountered.

  • Management and fulfilment of procurement KPI's including but not limited to: order book management (overdue purchase orders (POs), acknowledgements), on time delivery performance, in alignment with supply chain, accounts payable.

  • Computer literate, demonstrable expertise, and use of Microsoft Office.

  • Organised and detail oriented.

  • Highly motivated, independent, and self-directed.

  • Strong written and verbal skills at all levels.

  • Previous industry/sector experience

  • Experience of mentoring/developing staff

  • 1+ years in a procurement or supply chain role.

  • Familiar with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

  • Valid driving license, Marketing: 1 year (preferred)
