Full Job Description

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor role is a key role within the Chevron Group, assisting the commercial and senior management team in ensuring efficient contract delivery and exceeding the budgeted performance.

Responsibilities of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

  • Helping in managing costs and suggesting journal requests if needed

  • Reviewing monthly management accounts and key performance information

  • Monitoring and maintaining the data within the Company Inhouse Works Management System.

  • Ensuring the timely and accurate billing of works

  • Managing the Early Warning and Compensation Event process

  • Managing client disputes

  • Creating in-contract pricing, estimates and quotations

  • Assisting with recovering aged debt and cash collection

  • Helping to prepare revenue reports and monthly management accounts

  • Contributing to the overall management of commercial aspects of all contracts, including ensuring costs and revenue in correct periods.

    Excellent negotiating Skills

  • Experience working within a commercial setting

  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software - especially excel

  • Confident to work with an IT/Digital system led solution to commercial management

  • Ability to build new and existing relationships with Clients and suppliers

  • Full UK Driving Licence
